A Round Table Discussion on the ‘Role of Library Professionals in Creating Good Citizen and Combating Terrorism’ will be held at VIP  Lounge, National Press  Club, Topkhana Road, Dhaka on  03 September 2016 Saturday at 3 pm, organized by Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalists (BALID). The notable and respectable persons of civil society, human right activists, political leaders, educationalists  and library professionals in the country will discuss on the issue.

Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalists (BALID) arranged a Discussion Meeting on ‘Community Library O Milon Kendra’ on Wednesday the 29 June 2016 at 5.00 pm at Arts Faculty Conference Hall of Dhaka University followed by an Iftar.

 

Mr. Kabir Bin Anwar, Additional Secretary, Director General (Admin.) and Project Director (A2i) of Prime Minister’s Office of Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was the Chief Guest of the Discussion Meeting.

 

Mr. Shyama Prasad Bepari, Joint Secretary & Project Director, Higher Secondary Stipend Project, Ministry of Education, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and  Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mezbah-ul-Islam, Chairman, Department of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka were present as the Special Guests.
