BALID Home Page

The mission of Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalist (BALID) is to advance the library & information profession in Bangladesh. This is the only full-fledged professional body in Bangladesh in the field of library and information management. BALID was established on 23 January 1986 with the initiative of a group of young people. BALID believes that access to information; intellectual freedom and knowledge based society are the key components of development.
