BALID Lecture on 'Information Governance: focusing on archives and records management,' held on 23 May 2025 at WVA Auditorium, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Mr. Md. Zafar Iqbal, Communications, Records Management, Government Liaison, and VAT/Tax Advisor of the United States Agency for International Development, American Embassy, Dhaka, was the Resource Person. Starting with the welcome speech by Mr. AKM Nurul Alam (Apu), Secretary-General, BALID, Mr. Md. Jamal Uddin, Chief Bibliographer & Deputy Director of Department of Archives and Library, and Dr. Muhammad Hossam Haider Chowdhury, Librarian (Retd.), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) & Consultant, BdREN, spoke as discussants on the topic. Dr. Mohammad Moniruzzaman, the Chairman of BALID, presided over the program, while Mr. Md. Fazlul Karim, the Finance Secretary of BALID, conducted it.

Around 50 participants from different institutions and universities participated in the lecture program.
